WHAT IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MONTHLY GROSS SALARY AND MONTHLY COST TO COMPANY?

Gross salary consists of Basic, DA, HRA, Conveyance, Flexi Allowance, other salary heads which are payable on monthly basis, the sum of all these components called as Monthly Gross Salary whereas Monthly CTC can be defined as monthly gross salary plus employer contribution to PF, ESIC, FBT (if borne by an employee).
