What is meant by “Standard Benefit Rate”?

The daily rate at which sickness benefit is payable to an insured employee during the period of his sickness is called “Standard Benefit Rate”. The standard benefit rates are specified in Rule 54, lowest rate being Rs. 14.00 and the highest being Rs. 145.00.
